A Tri-State Tourism Council Driving Tour

• Beginning at Tower Hill State Park
• Take a right on County C and travel 0.8 miles
• Left on County C/Hwy 23 follow for 21.0 miles.
• Take exit #40
• Turn left onto Hwy 23 follow 0.8 miles.
• Turn left onto Shakerag St. follow for 1.0 mile to Pendarvis Parking lot.

• Backtrack on Shakerag St. to Hwy 23.
• Turn right on Hwy 23, follow 0.8 miles.
• Take left onto 151 South and follow for 19.3 miles.
• Turn onto Business 151 (traveling into Platteville) and follow for 1.5 miles.
• Turn right onto Hwy 80/81, follow 0.4 miles.
• Turn right onto Main St. and follow for 3 blocks
• The Mining Museum is on your right.

• Backtrack to Hwy 80/81 turn left and follow for 1.7 miles
• Turn right onto Hwy 151 South *Travel 11 miles into Dickeyville.
• Turn right onto Hwy 35/65 North
• Travel 7.2 miles into Tennyson.
• Turn Left onto Hwy 133 at Potosi
• Travel 1.5 miles to St. John Mine.

• Backtrack onto Hwy 151 South, follow for 8 miles.
• At the Mississippi River/IA, WI State line, travel 2.7 miles into Dubuque.
• At the lights turn right onto Hwy 20
• Travel 1 block (.1 mile) and turn right at lights onto Locust St.
• Follow Locust St. 3 blocks (.2 miles) and turn right onto 3 rd St.
• Travel .4 miles across the overpass into the Port of Dubuque.
• At the T-Junction turn right onto Bell St., follow .2 miles to the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium.
• Backtrack to Bell St. and turn left
• Travel .4 miles to view the Shot Tower.

• Backtrack onto Main St. and turn right, travel 1 block and turn right onto 4 th St.
• Travel 2 blocks (.1 miles) and turn right onto Hwy 151 South.
• Travel 2.9 miles and turn left onto Hwy 52 South at lights.
• Take immediate left onto Belleview Heights Rd.
• Travel 0.5 miles and turn left into the Mines of Spain and E.B. Lyons Interpretive Center.

• Backtrack onto Hwy 151 turn right (North) and travel 2.7 miles

• Turn left at lights onto Hwy 20 East.
• Follow through two sets of lights and over the bridge into Illinois.
• Travel 8.8 miles and turn left onto Menominee Rd/County Hwy ZZ.
• Travel 5.3 miles and turn right at stop sign on County Hwy Z.
• Follow 0.3 miles to the Sinsinawa Mound Center parking lot.

• Backtrack onto Hwy 20 East, and travel 6.6 miles into Galena.
• Turn left onto Main St.
• Travel 0.4 miles and turn left onto Hill St.
• Travel 1 block and turn left onto Bench St.
• Travel 0.1 miles to the Galena/Jo Daviess County History Museum.

• Continue on Bench St. back to Hwy 20/84 West.
• Travel 3.4 miles to Hwy 84.
• Follow Hwy 84 5.8 miles into Hazel Green where Hwy 84 turns into Hwy 11.
• Travel on Hwy 11 for 2 miles into Benton & Its Museums.

• Travel *11 miles into Shullsburg.
• Turn right onto Water St.
• Travel 3 blocks (0.3 miles), (Brewster Café & Cheese Store ahead on right)
• Turn right onto Galena St. and follow for 0.2 miles
• Turn left onto Estey St.
• Travel 0.1 Mile to the Badger Mine and Museum.
